Successful midterm review meeting in Brussels
18 months after the STOP-IT project has begun its work, the work-package leaders and the project coordinator met with the European Commission in Brussels at the end of November for the midterm review meeting.
Research projects usually undergo a midterm review meeting, involving the coordinator, the scientists in charge – in this case the ten work-package leaders of STOP-IT – the external reviewers and the project officer. The meeting is a contractual obligation but also gives the chance for a fruitful dialogue. Objectives of the meeting therefore were to meet with the project team, to update on th e progress of the project, to discuss questions, concerns and difficulties and, if needed, to find solutions. Next to the scientific evaluation the meeting therefore was also a great opportunity for the researchers to exchange views and receive valuable feedback.
The review meeting ran smoothly and there were no major setbacks. The STOP-IT team is now looking forward to the next project period!
