Here you find the STOP-IT platform and some of its elements
Common Operational Picture (D6.4) 1 file(s) 2.02 MB | Follow link for more information |
What is the solution? | The STOP-IT platform / Common Operational picture is a customisable dashboard, where water utilities can view data from multiple sources in real-time and in a single environment. |
What challenges are addressed? | Heterogeneous data are injested and can be visualised simultaneously by operators and decision makers and in multiple views to avoid overload. |
What is the innovation? | The solution brings together the cyber and physical worlds and all phases of risk management: From the detection, processing and analysis to the corresponding mitigation. |

Validation Framework (D.6.8) 1 file(s) 9.78 MB | Follow link for more information |
What is the solution? | The proposed solution is a validation framework and the subsequent result for the STOP-IT platform. |
What challenges are addressed? | * Assess the entire STOP-IT platform. Ready for they deployment in the case studies. * Assess the interconnection between the modules. * A methodology to validate/asssess the entire solution. |
What is the innovation? | Holistic validation framework for assessing software modules. |

What is the solution? | The Mitigation & Response Plan Management and Expert Reasoning System processes real-time information, generates alerts and proposes mitigation actions when specific conditions (defined by the user) are met. At a strategic level, it assesses the risk exposure of a water utility with the creation and calculation of FTs. |
What challenges are addressed? | The decision making process in water utilities is supported with real-time alerting and mitigation proposition and also by assisting tactical and strategic decisions and planning. |
What is the innovation? | Processing, configurable per water utility, involves cyber and physical events as the solution integrates with the rest of the tools in the STOP-IT platform. |

What is the solution? | The validation framework corresponds to a set of procedures and methodologies to validate the STOP-IT solution. |
What challenges are addressed? | Overall testing procedures to ensure the connectivity between the modules of the STOP-IT platform. The framework presents a set of scenarios to validate the platform under specific contexts. |

What is the solution? | The access to most of the tools of Module 1 is only possible for water companies, which already have a hydraulic model of the pipeline network and can create an EPANET input file, which is the basis for the calculations to be done in RAET. In case that a water company has no pipeline network model, the Epanet – EasySketch (EES) tool is used to generate an EPANET input file starting from a simplified sketch of the system without use of EPANET software. |
What challenges are addressed? | The access to the modelling platform of WP4 and the use of the tools of this platform is only possible for water companies, who already have a model of the pipeline network. As a platform for pipeline network calculations the public domain EPANET is frequently used. To apply the tools of the WP4 Risk Analysis and Evaluation Toolkit (RAET), an EPANET-file of the model (EPANET_INP_FILE) must be created and uploaded to the RAET. In case that a water company has no pipeline network model, the Epanet – EasySketch (EES) tool is used to generate a simplified hydraulic model of a pipeline network starting from a sketch of the system. |
What is the innovation? | The tool may be used when: * calculations based on an EPANET model are performed, * a calibrated hydraulic network model is not available, * the typical setup of a hydraulic model is too sophisticated for the desired results, * the water supply company has not the skilled and trained staff, * rough estimations are sufficient. |
